We are a body of believers whose foundation is the Word of God, whose message is Jesus Christ. We have a three-fold mission (in this order):
Worship
The Bible clearly says, "You are to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" (Deuteronomy 6:5). Jesus also called this the "greatest commandment" (Matthew 22:37). Worship begins in your heart. Worship results from a love of God and strong desire to please Him.Worship is also what we do on Sunday mornings. However, it doesn't start there. Our Sunday morning worship is aculmination of all God's people worshipping God together.
Discipleship
Jesus said the second most important thing was to take care of one-another. "And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). Discipleship is growing together. The Church exists to build up one-another. We possess Spiritual gifts in order to build up each other. Membership within the Church means membership into a family. As a family we love one-another, help one-another and–with the Lord's help– encourage one-another on to new heights.
Evangelism
Who we are and what we do to grow the Kingdom of God is evangelism. This fancy word simply means that we share the good news. The greatest news in the entire world is that God came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life. He died as a substitutionary payment for our sins. On the third day, He rose from the grave, leaving our sins forgiven forever. This is the greatest news. We can be forgiven. Our relationship with God can be restored. We can have peace.
This is who we are. This is what we strive to be. We are far from perfect. We don't claim to live up to God's standards all of the time. But we work together and encourage one-another in the pursuit of God's call on every life.
